What is Music Therapy?
Music Therapy is defined by the American Music Therapy Association as “the clinical and evidenced based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.” It is an established healthcare profession in which music interventions are used within a therapeutic relationship to address emotional, cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs, while promoting overall health and wellbeing . Through musical involvement in the therapeutic context, clients' abilities are strengthened and generalized into other areas of their lives.

Music Therapy
Private Music Therapy sessions can be provided to assist individuals who are living with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia, and other life challenges in living a more fulfilled and improved quality of life. Sessions are priced on a sliding scale.

Community Music Making - Creating familiar music in the moment with peers to stimulate community engagement, expression, and personal well-being & relaxation.

Songwriting - Composing music to express thoughts, feelings, and emotions, either as a group or individual.

Mindfulness-Based Music Facilitated Relaxation - The use of mindfulness-based exercises to music to increase relaxation and overall feeling of wellbeing.

Community Drumming - Drumming to stimulate community engagement, inspire successful living, provide support, and promote personal empowerment and self-expression.

Bell Choir - Songs are learned and played on the bells to increase community engagement, maintain cognitive functioning, and promote feelings of achievement.
